Training

We train our own dogs, handlers and officers in-house — so the people on your site are people we built to our standard.

IN-HOUSE · CONTINUOUS · STANDARDS

Training is how we control the quality of the service we deliver. Every working dog and every handler who reaches a client site has been brought through our own internal programme — conditioned, drilled and held to a standard before they ever stand a post. This page is a look at how that happens, not a course catalogue.

How we train our people

Two strands run in parallel — the dogs and the handlers — paired as one unit before either reaches a client site.

Our dogs

Our working dogs are conditioned in-house from foundation through to deployment, then kept sharp on an ongoing maintenance schedule for the length of their career. The drill set covers the full range of roles we run on contracts.

  • Patrol
  • Tracking & trailing
  • Detection
  • Personal protection
  • Basic & advanced obedience
  • Behavioural shaping & leash manners

Our handlers

Before a handler is paired with a working dog and put on a client site, they are taken through our in-house handler programme — built around the SAQA-aligned unit standards that govern the discipline, then layered with the contract-specific drills we run on the ground.

  • Care & control fundamentals
  • Patrol deployment drills
  • Detection or tracking specialisation
  • Site-specific contract drills
